Want to attend ISTS at Silverstone on the 10th and 11th April 2010?  Well why not do it with Modified Yorkshire and support your club.  We have brilliant ideas on what we are doing in terms of a club stand theme and are looking at making it one of our best stands yet.

Weekend tickets for camping, show access and club stand place are priced at £45 per person.  Theres loads going off over the weekend including track time and round 1 of the BDC drift Championships.

As many of you will know Max Power have been running league tables for all participating clubs throughout the UK and plan to announce the winners at ISTS modified car show this year.

Just thought I would let everyone know that we currently stand in 28 position which I am very pleased with, hopefully we can finish in this position.

Thanks to everyone at Modified Yorkshire for your continued support.

Within the next couple of weeks we should have some new car vinyls with the clubs site address on to give out, it will be a maximum of 2 per person until we run out then we will look at getting hold of another batch to give away.  For more information see the forums and get your name down for your FREE set of vinyls.

Also we have our new range of club merchandise coming for 2010, these are currently in design stages and will have our first sample within the next few weeks.  Prices for these will be up at a later date once we know what the cost of having the design made up for us.

Our first two confirmed attendances at shows during 2010 are two which we visited last year and thouroughly enjoyed.  Both looking to be two of the best shows this year so everyone is looking forward to some great weekends away with the club.

ISTS was last year held at Donnigton but due to their recent financial problems the circuit cannot hold any events so Silverstone is this years venue at their new complex.

Modified Nationals is again at Peterborough showground and is one of the years best shows.  If the weather from last year is anything to go by this will be a cracking event.

Well Atki took a trip upto Croft on 2nd January for the Specsavers Christmas rally stages and it sure did turn Christmas in the afternoon. 

After arriving at the track around 10am we paid in and parked up then took a walk round to the first corners to see what was going on.  The track was pretty much an ice ring with everyone steadily making their way around and a few making the odd mistake.

Dinnertime came and the stage was swapped around and seemed to be clearing abit with pace picking up and a few more daring manouvures, the Proctors Subaru Imprezza putting in some good times as far as we knew.

Around 1pm though it all changed with a snow storm, within around 30 mins the track was covered and every spectator looking half snow man but this didn’t stop the drivers, Proctors again was out first and paved the way through the snow followed by a few others. 

Just before we went car number 6 got a bit out of shape and smashed through a snow mound but seemed to get away ok.

All in all a very good day and once again another trip to Croft goes by where Atki came home wetter than he went.

Modified Yorkshire would like to wish everyone a happy New Year and look forward to seeing everyone at shows and meets accross the country in 2010.

It has become a very common look among such cars as VW’s and Audis but just how many people have pulled it off successfully?

Can you Euro a Japanese car?  Share all of your thoughts on the Euro look on our forums, if you have a Euroed car get some pictures up for us all to see.  Personally the Euro look is one of the best when done well, what do you think?

Well I found out about this show the night before when the girlfriend asked me to see what was on for a day out.  To my surprise it was the VW Festival so killing two birds with one stone I ventured over.

Was a good show, alot bigger than expected and some very good VW’s to be seen, along with a few penguins and not the forget the ducklins.

We have created a couple of competitions on the main forums for members to enter and win club vinyls for their car. 

The current competitions include a photo comp with a topic of  ‘Reflection’ and also a Bes New Modification compeition.
